WASTE COLLECTION AND TRANSPORTATION

Gândara is a waste management company whose service is the collection and transportation of non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste, with emphasis on the recovery of paper, cardboard, plastic and some types of metals.

Gândara has its own vehicles and equipment for waste collection, operating in the Lisbon region, essentially in the greater Lisbon area: Loures, Odivelas, Amadora, Sintra, Cascais, Oeiras, Vila Franca de Xira, Alverca, Mafra, in addition , in some areas in the district of Setúbal, such as Almada, Seixal, Sesimbra, Montijo, Alcochete and Palmela.

WASTE TREATMENT AND STORAGE

Waste received at our recycling unit is weighed and subject to compensation or recovery, depending on the type of service, quality and quantity of waste. After receipt, the waste is sorted, baled and packaged in bales for storage and subsequent forwarding for recycling to produce new products.

WASTE SHIPPING FOR RECYCLING

The waste is sent to factories that recycle the waste into raw materials for the production of new products, currently making it possible to send over 30 thousand tons per year for recycling, with emphasis on paper and cardboard.
